100TWh has won its legal action to prevent the construction of a gas power plant in the middle of the city Manage.

L’association citoyenne 100TWh avait introduit ce 25/04/2022 une requête en annulation du permis unique pour la construction et l’exploitation de la centrale électrique Turbine-Gaz-Vapeur (TGV) de Manage.
100TWh milite en effet pour un mix énergétique non-carboné incluant le nucléaire et excluant les énergies fossiles dont le gaz. Elle ne peut accepter la construction de nouvelles centrales au gaz, qui plus est, s’il s’agit de remplacer des centrales nucléaires qui n’émettent pas de CO2.
Ce 22/09/2023, Eneco vient d’abandonner ce projet pour les mêmes raisons.

De burgervereniging 100TWh had op 25/04/2022 een verzoekschrift ingediend tot nietigverklaring van de omgevingsvergunning voor de bouw en exploitatie van de turbine-gas-stoomcentrale (TGV) in Manage.
100TWh pleit voor een koolstofvrije energiemix met onder meer kernenergie en met uitsluiting van fossiele brandstoffen zoals gas. Zij kan het bouwen van gasgestookte elektriciteitscentrales niet aanvaarden, vooral als deze in de plaats moeten komen van kerncentrales die geen CO2-uitstoot produceren.
Op 22/09/2023, heeft Eneco dit project voor dezelfde redenen gestopt.
